Moone Boy - Series 1

Watched the first two episodes last night and thoroughly enjoyed it, it's the Ireland of my growing up come to life!
Lovely acting from the little boy playing Martin and very funny storylines, I loved the harassed dads getting together to play 'pretend' poker/fishing/charades in episode 1 and the Mary Robinson president storyline in episode 2, also the hilarious guest appearance by Steve Coogan, I never knew he had such a nice bod... :)

Watched the first one so far, really enjoyable.

Second episode watched; really charming series, go look for it. Great Coogan in this second one.

I tried watching the first one, but I found the concept a bit too confusing. O'Dowd's remembering his past, but his past self can see him? Or is O'Dowd just an imaginary friend? Only in the bit I watched it seemed like O'Dowd knew/remembered things that were about to happen.

I know, I should just go with it and enjoy it...

He's just a young boys imaginary friend.

Hmm, okay. I shall give it another go.

IF ONLY THERE WAS A WEBSITE THAT PROVIDED SUCH INFORMATION.

I knowwww, but then O'Dowd kept saying stuff that made me think all the stuff that was happening had happened to him 30 years ago and he was remembering it all. Very odd.

Oh eff off. I'd already looked. :)

Only watched Ep01 so far but really enjoyed it :) Even more than I thought I would.

I often find many a new sitcom just not doing it for me but this won me over in a short space of time.

The dads club did amuse :D

HI

Episode 3 question: What eighties TV theme did they dance to while on the wall
(driving me nuts)

c

Macgyver.

Thanks, woke up this morning humming it, and rechecked the online tunes, and waited past the first 5 seconds of MacGyver intro (low key start), patience would have been a virtue

Will miss this on a Friday night, very enjoyable and lovely acting...just seen that there's going to be a second series, goodo.

The second series actually wrapped filming last night, coincidentally. IIRC a third is on the way, too.

A really excellent series though. Very funny, utterly charming, delightfully bonkers, and David Rawle really is a true star.
