Please take just one minute to watch this video and help us to protect one of nature's most fragile and endangered species - the crack whore. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-Urw0kMWuI
Adopt A Crack Whore
Didn't view it, but yes... crack whores are wonderful. I hope some day one will be more famous than Marilyn Monroe.
Hmm very professional
But you've put a lot of effort into a one note jokethat's repeated over and over. Yeh I got it after 15 seconds.
Still you do replicate the WWF adverts well.
That and the magazine covers and especially the cuddly crack whore doll are funny.
Maybe think more about having a twist in a future version.
Fit girl, great production values. Shit joke. Your best hope for a decent joke is a thumbnail of her looking her best. It's YouTube, someone is bound to say 'Like if you came here for dat ass', which would be ironic
I thought that was great. Very funny.
Really slick-looking but twice as long as it needs to be. How about trimming it down to advert length and cutting out some of the less essential elements?
I thought that was shit hot. A great parody.
However, I have to agree with Mr Bussell. If it was cut to actual TV ad length (OK maybe a bit longer if you want) it would really strengthen the impact.
Sootyj's comment about a twist at the end is also worth bearing in mind, although if this was ad length that would probably not be necessary.
Otherwise, an excellent parody. I would love to see more of your vids.
Keep the good work up.
Thanks for the replies guys (well, most of them ).
I have to say I agree that it's too long - I was even about to cut down the opening at one point, but rather than being ruthless or battling against fitting cuts with the music I took the easy option of adding in another line of voiceover. Probably a bad choice in retrospect!
Because it is, as has been pointed out, essentially a one joke thing it was especially hard to keep perspective on what was worth keeping - by the time I'd pre-produced, shot and edited the joke was completely lost on me and I just had to go on faith that I was once amused by the concept!
Anyways I'm probably not going to bother doing a re-edit now as it was only ever supposed to be a quick turnaround bit of fun - guess the lesson learned is not to get lazy in the home straight!
Ignatious, if you're interested there's some more videos on my vimeo page (http://vimeo.com/user3932418/videos).
