Doctor Who... Page 864

Apparently Tom Baker is still doing Who stuff. A mate of mine recently recorded a download/CD episode with him in it.

Yes, for Big Finish, with Leela as his companion. All the surviving classic series Doctors and Companions do it (Including Paul McGann). Been going since the late nineties, I think. (Though Baker only agreed to take part in the last couple of years)

I know someone who just recorded one with Colin baker!

Big Finish always sounded to me like a mucky movie company specialising in money shots.

You were wet already. And you sort of made my point by calling Leela Teela.

Yeah, your Mum hates it when I get her name wrong as well. ;)

Only joking of course and as previously stated by my good self, I much prefer Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis to Doctor Who. So if I get the name (or even just the first letter) wrong of a minor companion from nearly 40 years ago, hey, it's no biggy.

Can't wait to see Cowboys and Gayliens on Saturday.

So some class atleast big up SGU

It's got Begbie in it.

nb attempted to watch Cowboys vs ET. But it was so bad my spine threatened to strangle me if I didn't change the channel.

Because it's New Who, you have to replace with the word 'Cowboy' with the words 'Vegetarian alternative food source Wrangler of non-specified gender and sexuality'.

Sorry did you mean Who, I assume you meant that awful, awful film that made sense.

Laughing out loud

At least pick, you know, the Battlestar Gallactica remake, or something!

I'd go for Fringe as the best current sci-fi show on telly.

Interesting choice never seen it, but heard good things about it.

I've already written huge diatribes on what I think is wrong with New Who. So in return, please do me the kindness of explaining what exactly was wrong with Stargate: SG-1 and Stargate: Atlantis.

Or are you just being a reactionary fanboy? Like an estate chav throwing a rock at a fire engine...you don't know why you do it, you just do.

Fringe started as a bit of an X-Files clone, though it was fun. Developed it's own ongoing story, which was cool, and now seems to suffer a bit of what Lost had, which is that they don't know where they're heading. At least it's getting a proper ending, though it looks like it's abandoned what it seemed to be about and is now going into the future.

Are you...are you going to cry..? I'm sorry Rc. *Cyber holds him*

And no ta; Stargate is bog standard TV sci-fi. Nothing wrong with it, it can kill an hour, but it's nothing more.

All right, Mr Spoiler.

Is New Who anything more than that? Really?
