Can anyone recommend good places in London, or the South East, for me to visit? I want to get together with other writers/comedians, but not sure what would be right for me. I want to go with my son...the one in the hat in the Bubba's Hot Nuts clip...and get more involved. Maybe, you regularly attend certain venues and think they'd suit me. Ta everyone.
Good places in London for writers/performers to go
London Comedy Writers (google them) have an excellent fortnightly meeting.
Otherwise write for News Revue and see if you can coordinate with other writers on their thread.

I've looked at that before...looks interesting. Are there any regular events I should be keeping an eye on/attending?
Other than LCW not really. News Revue and Treason (Brighton granted) first shows of the run are usually places writers meet up.
But I think LCW is so big and total (30-40 a meeting). Not much else around.
There's also periodic festivals like Rain dance.
I think the BCG drinks is the biggest networking event.
I'm right on the south east coast, so would just bus it all along the coast to Brighton. I used to live the other side...Southwick/Shoreham Harbour, so know where I'm going. I can't drive, they won't let me. To London, I'd be bussing it to Folkestone and training it upwards.

London BCG Drinks on 22nd if you're about Joyce
Where abouts is it?...and what time! Should I brush my hair!!
I'll resurrect the thread. Me and Marc are dressing up but me and Marc are a bit like that. But should you have a twenties/thirties-esque outfit or at least accessories do join in!
(BTW Joyce doesn't have to make an effort cos she's new and I don't want her to feel intimidated. I fully expect everyone else to look swish.)
That sounds interesting!...but what time is it and where is it? I'll be coming from Folkestone station and my son will be helping me, so I'll be okay (I think).

Please can you tell me the rules for submission? ie. How much can you submit at one time, deadlines (if any), quantities of each type of script/lyrics etc? It's not that clear on the site.
Thanks!
