My new computer is so fast it's starting to make the Earth rotate backwards

I did feel a mite sad when it had gone. It makes me envy the residents of places like Delhi and Rio, who all probably have gushing pipes outside their windows.
Storyboard guys are doing a fecking awesome job. Glad paying professionals
Quote: chipolata @ August 31 2012, 1:29 PM BSTI'm not sure. It was like a little grill in the path. Not a drain, but very similar. And I didn't see them come and turn it off, I had to leave the window to go and watch Brokeback Mountain at one point, I was just aware of flashing lights, then when I went to look the gush had stopped and a mysterious chalk circle had appeared.
Hah, obviously it was a flying saucer, triggered the flow then came flashing its lights to refuel with water & then left a chalk circle from its exhausts as it took off, due to the water being real hard stuff.
You missed the exciting bit.

My epitaph.
It will be back soon, and a yellow painted circle will appear, this will carry on during the early hours for at least 6 months, then the temp-traffic lights appear honest!
I'm getting my car windscreen replaced tomorrow and they're coming out to do the whole thing in the driveway. I can't wait to offer the worker man a cup of tea and refer to him as "mate".
Quote: chipolata @ August 31 2012, 11:15 AM BSTThere was a gushing pipe outside Chip's house last night. It gushed for five hours before somebody came and turned it off and drew a chalk circle around it. It was actually quite exciting while it was going on.
I came home tonight and found they'd dug up the road and surrounded it with warning triangles. I knew if I hung around this forum long enough Dellas would be right about something.
Helping out a friend by going through her dissertation and correcting her English (she's not a native speaker) and telling her what bits to chuck/expand. Takes forever! 23,000 words to get through! More interesting than some of the essays I went through for her recently, though - 7000 words about Finnish crockery. Ugh.
I need to get up and clean all the rubbish out of my car before the windscreen man arrives. The rubbish includes a pot of Vaseline which I had to take with me for an 'emergency' the other day.
I do not recommend sneezing if you have lower back pain.
I've won a competition!
A night here, and hopefully a meal.
I've never won anything, so I'm really stoked.
