Gutted about the injury to Shrek.

Ha ha! And it seems ferguson has got pissed off with him too.

Incidentally here is the Champions League draw.

Champions League groups:
Group A: Porto, Dynamo Kiev, Paris St Germain, Dinamo Zagreb
Group B: Arsenal, Schalke, Olympiakos, Montpellier
Group C: AC Milan, Zenit St Petersburg, Anderlecht, Malaga
Group D: Real Madrid, Manchester City, Ajax, Borussia Dortmund
Group E: Chelsea, Shakhtar Donetsk, Juventus, FC Nordsjaelland
Group F: Bayern Munich, Valencia, Lille, BATE Borisov
Group G: Barcelona, Benfica, Spartak Moscow, Celtic
Group H: Manchester United, Braga, Galatasaray, CFR Cluj

Talk about a jammy draw for Manchester United. Actually there is a load of lightweights there. Will be interesting to see what PSG achieve.

Looks like it's D for Death in the Group Stages. We have a nice easy run in. Now if we can only hold on to Walcott.

I think we've been pretty bloody lucky tonight with a couple of decisions, Krul should probably have been off. Still, we've played well, so far.

Good luck in the European Second Division.

Carroll's gone to West Ham then? Season long loan.

Great line from someone texting Talk Sport . .

Berbatov's deal is delayed as the paperwork's gone to a fax three feet away from him and not to one at his feet !

What a joke. This sort of false, forced move makes the football business look like it's run by Del Boy with Trigger as the accountant. Cost 35 million a year ago, he's played well for England and he's shuffled off to dodgier than dodgy West Ham with no money changing hands, where he refused to go a month ago, now saying 'great to be here'.

At the very least it makes the Liverpool board look incredibly clueless, powerless, gullible, fickle and even spineless seeing as he's one of their biggest financial assets. This is like flushing 30 odd million down the toilet in public. They can't just blame Dalgleish, they handed him the money! They shouldn't be in football, they've no idea what's going on around them. They're being made fools out of by greedy wide boys and pushy unproven coaches. imo.

Sky TV camped outside Melwood LFC's training ground, a door opens as cameras flash and an arm comes out the door and puts the cat out.

Nice to see Chelsea put to the sword against Athletico, although Hazard looks like a brilliant signing for them.

I think they would have preferred Falcao! Hazard does look like he'll be a hit though?

Man Utd playing scrappy stuff again, but another terrific strike by VP.

Great win for Arsenal today. Arteta, Diaby and Vermaelen all excellent.

A one man team - again!

ha ha! Quite clever.

Owen to Liverpool? Ran his contract down to get the Real Madrid deal and then went to United so it would leave bad taste. Only worth considering on a pay-as-you-play deal.

Drogba would be good stop gap if he's available but now 34, has said he wouldn't play for another team in the Prem, and would go against the style of play Rogers wants to play.

The only other options seem to be Klasnic (dropped by Bolton and someone who has had a kidney transplant) and James McFadden (released by Everton). Someone even suggested Heskey but surely that was a joke.

So Owen has signed for Stoke - eventually....

I think if I was a Stoke fan I'd be a little pissed off because he was offered a chance there weeks ago - but the poor deluded fool thought a "top" club would come in for him.
