Saturday Night Screen

Ideas man standing next to a flip chart pitching three TV executives.

"The contestants live in a house together and have to sing all day and can only sleep after performing really hard tasks.

They also have to eat things like sheep eyes before every meal and every contestant will have a harrowing back story which will be shown in clips.

The final will involve the remaining three contestants answering questions were they have to put the prize money on trap doors and could lose the lot."

The TV producers look at each other not totally convinced

The ideas man goes for broke.

"Oh and one of the contestants will be dressed as Micheal Jackson"

TV producers all smile and start shaking each others hands.

Not tickling my funny bone, sorry.

No problem everything is subjective especially comedy.

I was intrigued up until the Michael Jackson bit and then you lost me.

It was a jibe at the output of Saturday night TV, what we watch now we used to laugh at the Japanese doing twenty years ago.

TBH that doesn't come across.
But it's a good area for comedy.

Sometimes I'm guilty of presumption and that can be a fatal flaw but it's also a balancing act with resorting to over stating.
