Pushing Daisies

Anybody seen this relatively new US show? It's not really a sitcom as such but it has comedy elements to it and it's such a well written and well put together little show, it really is great.

Synopsis: Pushing Daisies centers on the life of Ned, a pie maker gifted with the mysterious ability to bring dead things back to life by touching them. There are a couple of conditions to the somewhat unwanted talent, however. Ned quickly learns that if something is revived for more than exactly one minute something of similar "life value" in the vicinity drops dead, in a form of balance. Additionally, if he touches the revived thing a second time, it goes back to being dead again, permanently. No amount of his prodding will ever bring it back again.

It's well worth checking out.

I heard Anna Friel talking about this show on Jonathan Ross and although it sounds interesting, it also sounds like a typical one or two season wonder, like Dead Again.

I thought the same as chipolata, when I first heard the premise for the show I thought that it was too restrictive and that it'd probably get dull quick, but when you see the show it is just amazing really, so well thought out, well produced, acted and written, really great show which I hope makes it big over here just like it has in the US.

A fun and different sort of comedy. The stiff acting can become annoying at times though, that's my biggest complaint. I'd recommend it.

It's a great show, very Tim Burtonish. I love quirky and this is quirky, looking foward to 2nd season.

Just a heads up, this starts on ITV1 tonight at 9pm. A primetime slot, not sure how well it will do though, its a great show but very cultish, not your typical Saturday night ITV viewing.

Pretty weird but good enough for me to watch it again next week.

I enjoyed it. Funny - clever and not smart arse.

I liked the 2 aunts - you'll be surprised to hear.

Incidentally - not splitting hairs - but I think the one-eyed aunt's vision may be a bit wider than that!

Anna Friel is looking hot, used to think she was too skinny before.
