What are you watching on TV? Page 1,642

I did persevere! I think the calibre of actor rather than the script held it together, it was strange seeing Simon Callow and John Pertwee doing sketches, but I did actually enjoy it, some sketches more than others. Kayvan Novak playing an auctioneer inviting bids to stop him shouting in various silly voices was very good, as was the police crime scene sketch.
Simon Callow ordering a home shopping delivery of a sole banana and then slyly propositioning the delivery guy also made me giggle.
I also like the fact that it didn't take itself too seriously as a show, it looked like they all had a lot of fun making it. Not sure really what the point of it was, was it an experiment of sorts??? or how it came about in that form but it was worth a watch.

I didn't think it was funny, it was quite odd to watch because it had very good performances, but no laughs. I did like the cuts between sketches, they were clever.

Them From That Thing.

I quite enjoyed it. I liked the Mr Blancmange sketch, and the office/milk one most. #parp#

Very Green Wingy.

Jet! on BBC4

stirring stuff, stiff upper lips and vast jet bombers.

Just watched ex-Tory bint Louise Mensch on Newsnight trying to cash in on the 'male politicians talk about rape' uproar.

Are there different kinds of rape? Is Julian Assange dipping his wick in a sleeping lady that he's already shagged, rape?

I know let's ask the 14 year old boy who was forcibly sodomized by two men in a Debenhems toilet in Manchester if there are different types of rape.

Has Julius Monkey face raped any one in the Ecuadorian embassy?

Didn't see this, but assume it was Sean Pertwee? Otherwise 'strange' doesn't really cover it... ;)

Yeah, it was Sean Pertwee doing some very good but not very funny acting.

Another good episode of Them From That Thing, I thought. I'd like to see more.

Come on sooty, can't you let sleeping dogs lie? Unlike Julian Assange. ;)

If Tony Benn, George Galloway and Julius Monkeyface had to share a bed would any of them dare sleep?

How could anyone sleep with that amount of hunky beefcake in the one bed?

It was not entirely without laughs, but there was quite a lot that didn't work. I would watch again though.
