My (admittedly low) expectations were exceeded. It is not shockingly bad and as the title makes clear the exploitative aspects are camp and knowing. There were some laughs, though not enough.
If compared to other TV double acts ill-advised sorties into movies, it is not as good as Morecambe & Wise, Mitchell & Webb, or even Ant & Dec, but preferable to Cannon & Ball. I await Dick & Dom's big screen debut with baited breath,

Just watched this tonight, and agree with this wholeheartedly. It's still no great film even taking this into account, but I really felt it was an "exactly what it says on the tin" production. It sounds like it's terrible, and it is: fully intentionally.
I saw this a while ago, it's hilariously bad. Such a strange idea.

What, cashing in on a TV 'comedy' duo's insanely high profile to take to the cinemas? That's as normal as normal is. Alas. I didn't see this one though, looked a bit too predictable from the off, and the duo's TV comedy show left me cold. Also I can think of few TV egos more unlikeable than Corden. He seems to have this inferiority complex that makes him put so much effort into being noticed. He forces his loud, brash personality on you in everything he's in.

Yes, a purposely over-the-top, stupid movie. Brilliantly awful. In fact I've just found one of the production team describing it as exactly that in intent, so evidently they would agree!
Hmmm seems like an easy way of brushing off a filmic turd to me, but believe it if you like. 
Well it matches exactly with the film I saw! Bad because it wanted to be, not bad because it failed*.
* Although clearly it did fail, as so few people have 'got' that it was a purposefully hammy production.
That's a bit more than a lucky coincidence, the film makers would be making millions from predicting the lottery results with that much luck.
It's all projected by insider knowledge, the film hub ensures that film makers will always have their hottest stars just at the right time. The film was a cash in, there's no way such way it wasn't.

But what's a failure to such commercial cash in film makers? Not making a tidy sum! They couldn't care less if got a critical mauling, such a blatant thing was bound to get mauled. I don't know how much it took at the tills but if it made them some dosh then it was a success.

Trust me, even at the height of their success Horne and Corden had very little if any box office pulling power. I haven't seen the film but I'd imagine that like, Snakes On A Plane, they pretty much built a film around a title to try and cash in on the Friday/Saturday night drunk lads market. Most of whom who would have had very little idea who those guys were.
Yes. The word lesbian was the thing that got the blokes into the cinema. Not Horne and flipping Corden.
A pretty dated attempt to follow the box office success of the Pegg led lads films using the current in vogue laddish comedy actors. There is no way film executives put through this kind of 'lads movie' with actors the audience won't identify with. H&C were picked to a formula that was wearing thin by 2009, that's probably why it failed to pull them in, if it did. That and maybe bad reviews.
