Looking for a film title

In the late 1970s I bought a bunch of comedy books that in Danish are called Bankhurst Barske Boldbørger.

The series is about the prisoners in a jail who form at football team, first of all to be able to escape prison first time they get a match outside the prison walls.
The name of the prison may be Crunchville.

The comedy series is originally called, I believe, Lags Eleven, and to my knowledge it is from Scorcher Comics.

I know there is at least one movie made about this comedy series, because I have seen the old black and white movie long ago.

Can anyone tell me the title on that movie and if this is the only movie that was made?

You're probably thinking of Two Way Stretch starring Peter Sellars...

I think there was just the one film and was made long before the comic series so the comic series was probably inspired by the film rather than the other way round...

What a wonderful forum and so fast.

Yes, that must be the movie, even if it doesn't have much to do with football, from what I can see in the small clips available on YouTube.

But the prisonwardens name, Sour Crout and Peter Sellers look, is just like in the comic series.

Thank you for the quick answer.

The spin off film of Porridge fits this plot
