White cig packs in stores? Page 4

Get into a cab in London and say 'the city centre' and you'll be met with a barrage of questions - 'The City of London? The Square Mile? The West End? Westminster? Leicester Square? Oxford Street? The Strand? Drury Lane? Holborn? Etc.'

Depending on what you want, London has many city centres.

Well if I was in the West End, I would assume I would be taken to the centre of the West End?

London types! Can't just have one city centre can they? No, they have to have lots.

We also delineate the city in terms of London Transport zones (1-6) and the Thames - North or South and the old favourite Inner London and Outer London. We even have three dialing codes (0203, 0207, 0208) because we are so massive and great.

Where is 0203?

Where is 0203?

That's in the super central bit of Inner London, stretching from the Square Mile to the West End. It's usually used by businesses because all the 0207 numbers was done used up.

Oh cool, been out of the smoke too long lol.

It's not like they're trying to ban smoking is it?
Removing the packaging means that people who smoke will be doing it because they're addicted , not because they think their brand is cool.
Now whilst this won't bother most of the old lags on this board, kids - because they're idiots - do bother about brands and stuff.
Perhaps a few less of them will pick it up - especially as there will be less point in advertising/promoting because the brands will be trickier to delineate.

.

i'm not sure the yoot - who are idiots - care that much about cigarette brands. Trainer and phone brands, yes, not so much the fags.

Most of them smoke Tesco's own brand.

Perhaps you're right.
I do seem to remember that Marlboro soft-pacs were all the rage when I was a teen.
But you could only get Dunlop Green flash plimsols and the phone was stuck to the wall - so perhaps they were compensating

Every little helps...

I really want to smoke but I can't find any cigarettes at a supermarket.

You have to give the special wink and the secret password to the man behind the till.

I smoke Sainsbury's Basic Brand Cigarettes, they may come in different sizes and contain bits of wood but they still give you lung cancer

I have Stirling' they are the cheapest, will have to go to Belgium on a duty-free trip end of October.
