The all-in-one consolidatory football thread Page 399

Terry is being charged by the FA.

I really don't understand that. He has been cleared by the court of the land so why do the FA think they will or should get a different result? Also why didn't they charge him last season if they're not going to take any notice of our court system?

Van Persie is going to United! Exciting news and interested to see how he'll 'link up' with Rooney.

Very quiet on this thread tonight. Angelic

Perhaps Chappers doesn't know about Van Persie yet . . .

..not to mention ummm.. and ummmm..

They're probably out crying in their beer somewhere. Angelic

A one-season wonder - I hope!!!!!!!

Just woke up after an amusing dream.. I dreamt that RvP had..

Oh...

Very quiet on this thread. Cool

The news has finally sunken in and it is beyond depressing. Between them last season, RvP and Rooney scored 57 goals. If they were a team, they'd knock Everton into 8th place.

So everyone laughing at the decline of Arsenal through this sale, should really look at how their own team is going to defend against two monstrous goal machines in the same team.

I don't think Man City is going to retain the title this year.

Wassup RC? Has something happened?

*mystified*

EDIT: Oh! The penny drops..

Exeter 1-2 Palace

You're an Exeter supporter, right?

You may be right on that one, but I think that they, at least, will qualify for Europe.. and not head straight for mid-table mediocrity.

Wassup RC? Has something happened?

Yeah, Arsenal nearly went bust, almost got relegated from the Championship and have gone through a billion managers in the last few seasons - oh wait, that's Crystal Palace, my mistake. ;)

And it's Groundhog Day here on the BCG because after we sold Fab and Nasri last season, we didn't finish third and qualify for the Champions League - oh wait, we did.

Liverpool? More like DEADrpool! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Not sure if Van Persie and Rooney equal guaranteed success for Utd. The midfield still needs that stamp of authority from a world class talent. Mind you, if Kagawa shines and Cleverley stays fit, then it's going to be an exciting squad.

I see Arsenal didn't score...

I see Arsenal didn't score...

I see that Sunderland didn't score either, probably because they put 10 men behind the ball. We also had loads of chances and Cazorla looks like the buy of the season. Giroud did miss a sitter, but as he reminds me of the lead singer of Muse, I cut him some slack.

We may not have scored, but we didn't play badly and that has filled me cautious confidence for the season ahead.

I don't know who you could possibly be referring to
*sucks on beer-y hair after spending last few days sobbing into pint*

Nah, it is a bit gutting but Arsene made the right decision.

Excited about Podolski, Giroud, and Cazorla, they all looked good yesterday. MOTM Gervinho, all the lads looking involved.

I have never in all my days seen such ridiculous time-wasting, Sunderland's goalie is a muptit wankton, deserved a red, or at least a yellow and a slap.

May have got a little sad when read this in the matchday programme

The Club's Annual Charity Ball... a signed boot from Henry went to the highest bidder, Robin van Persie, for 13,000

F**k him. RiP.

Good start for the Toon, and enjoyed Pardews push on the assistant, resulting in his excellent Rambo impression. "Don't push meeee!". :D
