Yep, this thread should definitely be used for wedding stuff!

I am defo in favour of flowers that look like you just picked them from a meadow. <3

This! And I second about them being in jars and bottles.

Oh gosh that's beautiful.

I think wildflowers look quite nice just tied with some rafia or something. Does that stuff still exist?

This is gorgeous. Liked the other one too. If you can't actually get the one you want when the time comes, would you consider taking a picture to a dress maker? (Probably a damn sight cheaper, too).

I've heard a few people say getting a dress made is about a million times cheaper than you'd think it would be. (Probably not literally.)

My mum used to make bridesmaid dresses, and still makes me skirts if I ask very, very nicely and persistently. The fabric is never too expensive - so I guess it just depends on that and how much you get charged for intricacy/labour.

I was considering getting my mother to make it- depending on what sort of style I go for.

:) I like the floaty fairy style , not white or pink though and wild flowers look gorgeous on headband.

Good idea. You won't need to be polite if there are bits and pieces you want changed.

And I'll bet she'd love to do it.

Mine was handmade and cost a tenner. That was very cheap, even a gazillion years ago.

What's the best way to look after leather handbags?

Think maybe buy leather cleaner but read the label to make sure. Ashamed to say I've never properly looked after leather bags, but having said that, they always seemed to last for years.

;) I'll use it on me skin!. My fella has polished my bags with cream shoe polish.

Thank you. I have polished them and am now wondering if I should stuff them with paper to keep their shape as they are very soft leather. Then should I just hang them up in the wardrobe or wrap them up in something to protect them?
I want to keep them looking as nice as possible.

I usually buy cheap ones from the market and sling them when they wear out, but coincidentally found a terrific bargain in TKmaxx in the same week I was given a very expensive but unwanted bag. I chop and change them quite a lot and they get a lot of bashing about. I don't want to spoil them.
