I hate standing next to the edge. I always think some nutty bastard is going to push me off.

I've missed tubes for that exact reason.
I mean this big train thundering into an enclosed space.
Its quite dangerous when you think about it.
(am I going to have to reedit my own posts).

Have you ever been at Slough station when the Inter-City's come through?
Jesus - I can't believe they let people just mill around on the platform with no barriers.
There's 2 stations on the Tube I really hate.
There's a narrow platform with tracks on either side.
Madness.
I hate the tube and just getting all that way down there leaves me anxious.

F**king Hell Putters hope you feel better see a doctor boss doesn't sound healthy
Pretty sad. Two of my friends are today getting married in a castle in Yorkshire and I'm not there. I'm not there out of choice though, which makes it worse. I took a stand over their decision to not invite Dan (who I am engaged to and have been with for 5 years), and have barely spoken to them since. On top of a horrible tiring week, this is just making me feel like an utter shitbag.
On a lighter note. Today I started a possible "new hobby", twitch is Oil painting. It's all lovely and pleasant and I have myself setup in the conservatory, it's a sunny day. Oh, I feel very middle-class lalala.
I really have no idea what I'm doing though. I've watched/read a few beginners tips and they always seems to jump from step one: showing you what equipment you need to step 47: Painting like a f**king pro.
Where's the in between bits? I want practical tips like, paint from dark to light. But that seems to be it. So I'm just taking the message that the best thing to do is to just dive right in, so I have.
Starting painting an apple. I didn't have any apples, so I just made it up. I'm fairly confident of of my art skills. I did it. I did a very basic apple shape (which is a circle). I had a basic lighting going on. One side was dark, t'other was light. Problem is I only know how to sketch, so I "sketched" the paint onto the canvas. I don't know how to use a paint brush. But whatever, it looked ok.
Then I got cocky and painted the shadow. F**k. This is where you need a reference. Somehow within seconds it turned into a big blob of black hole. Kept trying to fix it but just made it worse. So I carried on with the actual apple. Oh, look now my brush has black on it. wash, wash, wash, wash, wash. That should do it. I think I'll work on the highlights, just keep it simple. A little bit of white... oh shit there's still black on my brush... oh no my lovely apple is now a rotting apple... cover it up with the red colour I was using for the apple... oh, no now that's black too.... arghhhhh... f**k this.
I HATE OIL PAINTING.
