Why make that video? I understand that its the 64's 30th birthday, but come on- who expected kids to have any interest? They are too young to have nostalgia and too inexperienced/disinterested to appreciate it as gaming conniseurs. Entirely redundant bit of bumph.

It's probably part of the plot plan to re-interest kids in doing computer programming, because it is becoming generally worrisome that very few modern kids are getting into it and there will be a massive shortage in future.

Part of the plan is the introduction of the Raspberry Pi computer which will only cost around £15 to £25 but is a bare board and you have to connect it to a keyboard, monitor or TV (as in the old days).

If that the case than showing them a bleeting screaming relic from a bygone era really isn't going to do that. SHow them stuff they can make on an iphone or something relevant to this century technology.

And for the Record Commodore 64's were always shit, ZX Spectrums were better but thank God they are both long gone.

Renegade the problem is not the scanners.

It's yours

Because you shoved the banana up your arse.

Then sit on the scanner and yell chase me you terrible man.

At the ginormous Nigerian security guard.

I never tire of watching the video on Skys new show

"Police, action, what the f**k!"

People in the street are looking up at my window and wondering why there are mad bursts of laughter coming from it.

And your response made me laugh too

I'm inclined to agree with your first paragraph.

The problem is that that is too big a jump. Newbies have to learn a lot of basic stuff, before they could get anywhere programming an iPhone.

Its something they can aspire to though and something they can see in the real world and probably have used themselves, obviously they need basics but showing them what is possible and the worlds they open up for them selves.

Reality is most if they even get the degree won't use it to do programming 3 of my mates have IT degrees and none of them work in industry one installs chimneys. I have no qualifications and am better qualified than he is now, being self taught. So it's not just the learning it's about trying to motivate people to have a purpose to the knowledge.

Who would you contact to protest that an MP's mental condition made them ineligible to be in Parliament?

Party central office I guess.

Who are you complaining about?

I thought all the dull programming stuff, like coding, had been outsourced to India?
