Officially closing the submission window. It was unofficially extended by 24 hours!
Has anything happened with this? Thought it was being recorded last week.
We recorded it at the weekend so are now in the editing process (a lot to do, including adding what must have been well over 100 sound effects). We're hoping the material will turn out to be strong enough to get 2 podcasts out of it - allowing us scope to include more one-liners - but until we've heard the edit we can't tell for sure. There was some really nice stuff posted on here - mine didn't even make the short list

Can't tell if that's having a dig! I'm in the final stages of editing and some one-liners which were recorded are on the cusp of making the edit - or not. So this really isn't the time to upset the producer.
First Summer Shorts out this weekend - lots of references to the Kirrin Island Sports Day and second of the Summer Shorts likely to be published at tail end of August. I might commission some further one-liners if anyone is game.

Not at all - it's more hoping that if suspense (or anything else) is literally killing me that it gives me another 60 years of life first.
Doing the odd bit of audio and video editing I know how long it can take - but was wondering if the end was in sight. And it is! Roll on the weekend.

Really enjoyed this and it seems to now have it's own distinct KI style which I'm sure will take root even more as the series goes on. Loved the Quitter idea to introduce the oneliners, well done all.
I concur with Shan; a great job all round once again.
The highlight for me was the use of 'Mary McDonald' as a character name; a beer for whoever wrote that gag at next year's meet-up
Hey thanks guys for the feedback. Glad you're enjoying it. It was a different experience making it without the live audience. I can see us continuing with a variety of the two approaches. The "studio" version does give us more room to play with F/X and ATMOS etc. I think the performers enjoy the instant feedback of the live show though.
Thanks to everyone who put material up. Given the shorter length of the show, we couldn't do too many quickies/one-liners and I had to take some out for brevity even though we'd recorded them. I'm also pleased we managed to include some new contributors to KI.
So we've got enough recorded sketch material for the next Summer Shorts. We will want to record some more one-liners. I intend to podcast that episode at the end of August and then the next Live from Kirrin Island is recorded at the end of September for which we'll be commisioning sketches as well.
