Is Mark on here regularly? I have just sent him details of a news story via PM, but wasn't sure how quickly he'd be able to pick it up.

Send it Chortle, they've got the cutting edge comedy news coverage. We're lovably behind the times.
They seem to nick half their news off the BCG.

I think he probably gets to PMs fairly quick, even though he doesn't post much.

Someone else has done that. I'm loyal like a mofo- it got here first. It's not a big deal really- it's not like the BBC comedy department has blown up, but it's not good and we're trying to start a DIGITAL REVOLUTION up in hyar.
Oh it turns out we might have fixed the issue already.

Ooh you tease!
Is it still a bit alkie to drink wine at five o'clock if you put lemonade in it?

I think 5pm is ok-to-drink o'clock. Though it does depend if you're drinking it out of the bottle...

Pft, it's not a secret or anything. Just Ed council pulling an edinburgh show from one of their owned venues due to one of the acts publicised being Kunt & The Gang (fringe regulars), a week before the fringe, leaving the act running it without a venue and £1000+ in the hole. But our fledgling fuss might have already sorted her a new venue.

Yes, but do it anyway.

Straw in wine bottle + straw in lemonade bottle = classy AJGO, right?
Edinburgh seems to have got very overly cautious with swear words this year. Richard Herring's been talking about his cock show getting asterisked.

Who do the asterisks protect? Unless he's got a billboard with the title of his show on it that is visible to kids, what is the point? Are there people less offended by swearing if they can't see all the letters?

Pffftt. A day like today, a drink should be mandatory. I'm cursing not buying some Crabbie's earlier.

I like to imagine that asterisks are the nipple tassles of the written word and that people who object to swear words are secretly getting off on the titillation

That made me so happy!

This is why I heart you H. But trust you to post just when I mention nipple tassles
