And too think I wasted all that money on porn, when I could have been watching art!

Cum Lake - The BALLet?
*R.C. begins feverishly working away on his 'interpretation' of 'The Nutcracker'*
"very Ken Russell terrain"
And her problem is?
Basher Al Aasad is threatening to use chemical/biological weapons if "threatened by foreign powers"
Come on Obama grow a pair and let him know there are nuclear consequences for such actions.
Like Bush snr did with Sadam.

Gun sales are up after the Denver shootings. Some are attributing it to a need to feel protected, but it's more likely the case that shooters are worried there might be a knee jerk firearm ban.
On the plus side, the Judge has ruled that the trial won't be televised and that the killer won't be given a platform to air his views. I hope this is a trend adopted by all Judges to deny these nutjobs from seeking any glory.

Agreed. Ideally their names wouldn't even get in the papers or on the news, but that's obviously not going to happen.

Gun and ammunition sales last had a major spike in 2008 when it looked like Obama was going to be elected as POTUS. The Democratic Party used to campaign on a platform of gun control as a matter of routine.
But as nearly 50% of the population of the US now own a firearm, it is political suicide to try and introduce restrictive legislation.

Certainly before 2010 (not sure about recently), Obama had absolutely zero anti-gun policy and in fact signed in more protective legislation than Bush did. The tea party crazies and Rush Limpcock used ridiculous rhetoric to claim that Obama was going to take everyones' guns away, despite absolutely no hint or track record that he would.
TV taught me that!
As if I only just realised what potus meant.

It doesn't help that America is still full of people who actually believe that Obama is both an immigrant and a Muslim.
Weirdly, the most controversial and career threatening legislation that Obama has introduced has been his championing of gay marriage. The black community in the States is incredibly homophobic and this issue has split their vote.
