Well at least I know why I never agree with people on here. Js and Ps rarely form close relationships.

Such a darn shame...

Actually it isn't, no.

It's way too broad a test to be of any viable use.

I'm an ESFJ for my sins...though mine did have a brilliant Miss Piggy quote on Chinese food 'You don't sew with a fork, and I see no reason why you should eat with knitting needles' :)

How could you say such a thing? I've long felt a kinship with both Sinbad and Meg Ryan so I think this test is wonderfully accurate.

Well first of all Jungian psycoannalysis is an individualised process not a science. Which isn't too say that it's not powerfully effective.

But Myerss Brigg is more like McDonald inventing a fillet steak burger, with a truffle flavoured sauce. It may vaguely seem like the real thing, but its a simulacrum.

Myerrs Brigg can identify some hugely broad characteristics. That may be of some value in understanding where to start exploring your psyche.

But viewing it as a total science that gives a definitive portrait of your soul as some do. That's either unhelpful or potentially quite dangerous.

All they're really doing is reflecting back to you the answers you gave. It's good for making you feel like you're not a freak, and that there are thousands of other people with the same weird traits as you. :)

Oh it can pick out certain trends that much is true.

But its more like trying to guess whats for dinner by sniffing outsifde the kitchen. If it leads onto something else it can be a good thing.

Yep. It's just interesting and a bit of fun. I don't know how it can make some people angry!

Depends on how it's used. I've done some really shitty leadership training; where it's been

"you're a t.w.a.t now learn how to be like all the other t.w.a.ts becausethat's what you are."

In a more generalised way I dislike the way psychology has got so junky and cheap.

Oh yeah, using it in the workplace is a different kettle of fish.

Yup in the workplace when used by idiots in HR it can be quite nasty.

And in junky magazines.

It's just us here? Fnacy playing hide and seek?

You hide, I'll count to a hundred.

Ok go!

A HUNDRED!
