I've just seen... Page 292

You've seen it? I kept seeing it advertised in the back of Viz and wondered just how awful it would be.

Not yet, although every time I'm in Poundland I scour the shelves for it.

You spend a lot of time in Poundland? Everything okay?

I have it to watch, but I can bring myself to start.

It's on virgin on demand on one of their weird cheap channels where all the strange ones lurk.

You know "Cockasaurus versus the mutant c**t from space."

or "Schindlers List 2 the Jews strike back!"

I just like a bargain. I get quite the buzz when I see a decent film peeping out from amongst the Brooke Shields Audiobooks and Alan Davies Lafter Hours DVD's.

I got 3 Charlie Brown DVDs from there recently!

Blow. Considering it's about the man who introduced Cocaine to America it's quite a dull film. Still, Johnny Depp's hairstyles are entertaining.

The Kill List. Bit slow and miserabilist to start with, and the main character looks a bit like Ricky Gervais, but it gradually turns into one of the best British horror films in years. Great hammer scene too.

Donnie Brasco

Great film

Bedknobs and Broomsticks with my little sister. It was very hard to suppress a giggle at the innocently delivered line "What's that got to do with my knob?"

Brasco is good. And probably Pacino's best hangdog loser performance.

Definitely a brilliant performance, but I think he really outdid himself in Merchant of Venice.

I've not seen that yet. I think my favourite Pacino is Dog Day Afternoon. Pity he's coasted in recent years.

I think it's often that really meaty films aren't being made as much as I think they used to be.
