Ah! The moral high ground...
You're right of course.
But can she use pictures of you, regardless?
It really does seem outrageous that someone can take photos of you without permission and that you don't have any rights to the image at all.
Buyers on Ebay who cannot be satisfied and want f**king jam on it.

I told you that selling toast on eBay was a bad idea
Doing online training on h&s

Why are you extending the dullness?
What's wrong with you?

Not my area of specialism but it depends on where she took the pictures - public or private place -, whether you did give her permission to take them if private and if she intends to use them commercially. She might possibly be infringing your right to privacy under the Human Rights Act but if at a gig then it gets complicated but yeah it seems unfair that someone can use you to make money and you have no sayso.
Just turned on my TV to find that my employer has cancelled the sky subscription for my room, which is fine, I guess, but I had loads of stuff recorded that I wanted to watch and now I can't watch them. Would it kill this guy to give me a heads up once in a while? A couple of weeks ago he woke me up at 8:45am on a Sunday to show a builder a crack on my wall - he knew the builder was coming round so why not let me know the day before, or even just 10 minutes before he was going to come into my room? Gah!
What a shit bag.
Introduce his kids to smoking as vengance.
That said having done this before previously, I'd never mix work and accomadation up again.
Oh God someone's having a discussion about buying handbells in case there's a powercut.
Can we have a national handbell strategy?
You handbell end!

Quote: Nat Wicks @ July 17 2012, 10:13 AM BSTAt a gig last week there was a woman in the audience taking photos of the show because it was her friend's first gig. A week later we spot the images online ina Flickr account. Contacted the lady and asked if I could nab a couple of the raw images from the gig and she's tried to bloody flog them to me. Turns out she's a professional photographer, and now owns the commercial rights to pictures (hideous ones at that), of me. Legally there is nothing I can do, but morally? I am pretty pissed off about it as if I had known there were going to be images taken for commercial purposes at an unpaid and not-for-profit event I would have asked her not to take any.

One of my employers was appalling about respecting my privacy - I came home once to find him not only in my room, but using my computer. I'd asked him for the wifi password and he'd decided that he should set it up himself while I was out. He then complained that my computer was a bit slow and took it upon himself another time to take my computer without asking and 'improve' it for me. Wanker.
