Well done Nat - I was about to send you a message as I received a list of the finalists and recommended acts today from FF and thought it was your name I'd seen! That's a real achievement - I hope I get to see your act sometime.

It's an end of course showcase so it's lots of newbies like myself - gig no. 6 I think! Hopefully it will be a fun evening though and a nice environment for it. And I now have at least one lined up while I'm in Edinburgh which is cool.

Definitely count me in as attending. And good timing, once the Olympics kicks in, I will be hiding in my flat for a month.

I've already built a little fort out of sofa cushions and a blanket, now just have to stockpile Monster Munch and fizzy pop and I'm all set.

Ahh you sound just like my nephew (he's five). V sweet. Don't forget some comics too.

Just had a read through of the BCG Newsletter and noticed there were no quotes from any of the members this time round.

I know we were harsh about some of the new comedies, but people wrote nice things on the Eric Sykes thread, so they could have at least put a couple of those up there.

An oversight or a conspiracy? Or more likely, they ran out of room or forgot. But still.

I always cut & paste my comments over them anyway.

Writing 'Die James Corden!' 500 times may not be the most eloquent of quotes Nil, but I can't disagree with the sentiment.

Feeling like a big pike of wank tonight. Ate a couple of rows of whole nut and tinkled on the guitar for a bit. These have lifted my mood a little.

FYI, I'm avoiding the feminism thread as I assume it will only annoy me at some point. So if anything needs modding in there let me know.

Hopefully it's all fine and dandy though!
