Get a bigger office man!

My ones huge. But it's full of sick people, some of them in bed, some being cut up!

I shouted get out this is my office you sickly oiks!

Then the police informed me I'd wandered into the hospital.

Funny story they thought I'd been in the bath. As they asked me if I wanted to dry out!

Oh MarcP you and your shenanigans.

Well a higher one might be a good idea.
it's just the back bit - no electricals, but lots of paper and stuff.
it's all up on chairs now in case the defences break.
(TBH it was only a quarter of an inch of water - enough to make things a bit soggy and smelly - especially as the water comes via one of the horses stables!!)

Just one of the stable blocks? That's something I guess. Simply divert the excess water to your drained moat and problem solved! :D

Sorry you are right, I think I might hace said unecessarily instead. Still, it has the same sort of ring to it.

Ah good old symantics, I understand that they are nice to hide behind when you want to ignore the actual point. To anyone looking to actually take heed of what I am saying, you may note that the important bit of that sentence isn't the hyperbole, but the part which suggests it is just not normal or okay to be mean to someone when they haven't done anything to you.

Your interpretation of it was 'sneery and ungrateful'. If would be mighty hypocritical of you to state it as fact when you are just one opinion in many. And honestly there are far less twatty ways of making that feedback to someone.

In terms of peoples' feelings, it actually is betetr to talk about someone behind their back, rather than hurt their feelings for the sake of unpleasantness. I try to avoid being mean (not critical, this is different) to people regardless or whether they can read it or not, but hey we're all human. Well, most of us.

The majority of that post is actually just agreeing with what I said though.

'It's actually better to talk about someone behind their back, rather than hurt their feelings'... this we will have to disagree on then. If you don't have the backbone to say what you want to say to someone directly to them then maybe better not to say it at all? THAT is what makes it sneery!

It does take A LOT of backbone to be mean and weird to people on the internet. It really does.

Well she's your wife, let her live in the house old bean!

I don't think it does! Oh you misunderstood what I said (again). Why not read the posts first then you might actually know what you are being 'outraged' about... it'll make you look less of a dullard.

It's one possible outcome.

Always! It was like 70.65384 or something.

1. well done scats!!!!
2. That is a stonking first. I've sat on boards where people who have an average of 68% have been given firsts.
3. Celebrate before you find out how hard it it to get a job.

As Stott says, saying something to an anon on the internet is HARDLY saying it directly to someone. You're hidden all of the way behind your keyboard and screen, when in reality many probably don't have the balls to say what they they type if they were face to face with someone.

If that's not what you're implying then fair enough. Point still stands althought it might not apply.

I'm not promoting bitching about people behind their backs- far from it. But I think that you need to weigh up what you're saying. If you're midly irked by someone and just need to let off some steam, I don't see why it needs to be to their face when it's your issue and not theirs. But of course I said something along the lines of 'in terms of their feelings', which may explain why it's not translating to you.

Also, I don't agree with you at all. I may have agreed with some of your symantics, but most certainly not any of your actual points.
