I'm laughing remembering- that's a good sign!

I was thinking of watching this but never read any Shakespeare at school (or since) so wasn't sure whether I'd get what was going on.

Shakespeare is always much easier to watch than to read. Richard II is not always the most accessible of the plays, but this production, which had pared down the text quite significantly, had a clarity to the readings that I had not seen before - I really do not think you would have had any difficulty following it; great performances too, from Ben Whishaw's camp Richard, David Morrisey's grizzled Northumberland, David Hughes creepy Aumale, and perhaps best of all, in a usually thankless cameo, James Purefoy's seething Norfolk.
If you don't catch up on this one, do give Henry IV Part One a go; it is one of Shakespeare's greatest plays, and blends comedy and drama very effectively.
Maybe I'll give it a go, cheers!
I had to read Richard II at school and never understood a word of it, so I enjoyed getting the hang of this. As Tursiops points out and my English teacher didn't quite understand, Shakespeare was not written to be read.
Currently watching Christopher 'serious actor' Ecclestone doing lots of serious acting as a sort of Bad Lieutenant on the council.

It's a bit hard work isn't it?
Walking Dead
Second series a bit boring IMO
Great rant and "interview" on Diamond and Barclays from Max Keiser-

I occassionally drop into Russia Today to see their 'take' on the news. And when I say 'take', I mean Putin ordered news propaganda. Some of their Syria coverage has been outrageous.
Max Keiser is like a Commie Rush Limbaugh, both big mouthed idiots doing their master's bidding, but both massively entertaining nonetheless.

I have a wife now? \0/ Wooo! Somebody loves me - even if she is fictional.

I think Keiser is more of a sound money liberal in the Ron Paul mould.
However anyone who bashes Europe or the US gets on Russia Today. Not since Kim Philby has an Englishman spent more time on Russian TV than Nigel Farage.

That is true and I've seen the presenters get very flustered whenever one of the hand picked experts accidentally disagrees with Kremlin policy. You can almost see the look of panic as they realise someone might make a reasonable counter point.
I found it especially galling when they were talking about the protestor arrests before the Royal Wedding and Queen's Jubilee. Suddenly, the right of protest and free speech was uppermost in their minds and then days later, Putin bans all democratic protests in Russia.
Hilarious.
