Depends whose getting the works
What are you doing to further your writing career? Page 3
Interesting enough (or not) I watched the Will Smith film 'The Pursuit of Happyness' the other night, and it kind of got me all pumped up about grabbing what you can and taking chances. Hustling and that.
Coupled with the positive messages in 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' - Will Smith really is inspirational.
What am I doing?
Bugger all.
It's a shame but you can't use all your time up writing, researching and submitting as a lot of it is spent waiting for feedback - which rule of thumb is if there's no response within 48 hours they usually ain't interested.
Some sources are more receptive to new input than others so if NONE of the shit you're throwing sticks, choose a different wall - one untroubled by non-stick paint.

Any shit will stick if you're friendly with the builder.
Writing, writing and more writing.
It is so much easier going out or watching TV than staring at a blank screen. But treating yourself to those things AFTER writing an episode is a lot more satisfying.
Hanging onto your work is the best thing you can do. Too much stuff seems to be put on our screens with little thought gone into the characters. Painfully under-developed. Keep creating layer after layer.
Top sitcom writers are few and far between. There are lots of great songs, there are lots of great films, but there must be less than 30 great sitcoms. In ten years time do you want to have written a classic like 'Seinfeld' which is watched again and again, or a 'Gavin and Stacey'?
I'm working on a few upcoming shows for Baby Cow and Objective Productions. Also got my own sketch show in at BBC Scotland that goes into pilot stage in March. Other than that, still regularly pitching sitcom ideas and new stuff to whoever will listen! Chuck enough shit and all that...

Are you looking for any new material?
I'm just writing and watching as much comedy as I can.
Also, I'm attending a sketch writing course this weekend. I see that as a positive step forwards.

I've already PM'd him 2178 sketches, and several photos of naked body parts.
You should have stopped at the sketches mate. You've blown it now
I already know Perry by another name and therefore any queue starts with me.
Fortunately, any request for naked photos haven't included me as a subject...yet.

If I could blow it myself, I'd be too busy to write any sketches!
