Quote: Lee @ June 30 2012, 6:14 PM BSTI prefer soft-serve. I shall have a second look into buying one. I'm easily swayed. How do you make beer ice cream? Do you just pour it into the mix and away you go?
I used this recipe: http://www.theawl.com/2012/06/how-to-make-beer-ice-cream
This is the machine I use: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cuisinart-ICE30-ice-cream-maker/dp/B001D650FA/ref=sr_1_4?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1341076994&sr=1-4

Some men like lumpy ass.
Quote: Lee @ June 30 2012, 6:09 PM BSTMake sure the pan you mash in is hot, along with any butter, milk or oil you add. I believe it's best to cut the potato large, for more scientific reasons I don't understand.
Thanks. Thought you might suggest a potato river.
Quote: AJGO @ June 30 2012, 6:18 PM BSTIf I may add my one culinary tip; crack an egg into the mash soon as it's mashed, and mash some more. And I use marge instead of butter and my mash is never particularly lumpy, but I don't know if that's a factor. Might help with a more even distribution?
Will try that, ta.

Cheers, and thanks for linking to co.uk
Just had to manage without a washing machine for about 6 weeks.
Only because I was too tight to buy one.

Nice. May there be many creamy meals in your future.
Recently purchased a slow cooker. Haven't made much yet, only had one near disaster. Thinking of getting a stick blender but I already have a food processor so would proably be a waste of money.

This would be less creepy if you didn't say this to me with your hand down your pants.
AGA. It boils the kettle, you can make toast on it. It dries the laundry and 'irons' school uniforms and jeans pretty well too. And it'll cook fabulous food, obviously. Although it was pretty dear, if I'm honest.
I used to have a sandwich maker that fused the bread and whatever you had in your sandwich together in a boiling hot but delicious crispy package. That was great. Although a lot of hassle to clean after. And I got burned quite a lot getting the scorching hot sandwich out. And when I ate it I'd always burn the roof of my mouth.
