An accident waiting to happen

4PM INT. CAR TRAVELLING AT SPEED IN THE COUNTRY

GARY
Ease up on the speed mate

IAN
Relax Gaz, this thing is designed for speed, it is the hottest of hot hatches, multilink rear suspension and a limited slip diff, it is (PAUSE) a road warrior.

GARY
That it is mate, but it can’t predict what’s around the corner

IAN
True, but can anyone predict the future? After all what’s around the next corner is the future

GARY
(CLINGING TO HIS SEAT)
Probably not the best time to be philosophical consid’ (INTERUPTED)

GARY AND IAN
Shiiiiiiiiit!!!

THE CAR CAREERING INTO A GIANT TURD

THE END

Laughing out loud I think there should be a little more explanation on the theory of Time though or even Quantum Physics but thats cos i'm a super science geek.

But bloody hilarious :)

This is tres bon.

:D
Good one mate, made me laugh and was completely unpredictable.
It was a little bit Ianist though Angry

Yey, think I've found a new friend!!!
PM me and I'll talk particle physics all night, Adam :)
String theory...oh yeah baby...quarks and squarks and electron anti-neutrinos...don't stop, don't stop :P

I enjoyed this very much. Performed, I think the Road Warrior line will get a good laugh.

Incidentally, do you know the etymology of the word 'quark'? Apparently the scientist who discovered the quark was a big James Joyce fan. 'Quark' was the way Joyce wrote the noise ducks make. True story.

Well that explains the stupid name then :D
But how the hell did you know that, David?
And I wonder why he chose that out of all the mad words Joyce invented?
Anyway, I think this thread is starting to get hijacked a bit (sorry Martin!)

I'll PM you on my quantum PC. Can't guarantee which dimension it will arrive in though :)

I'm sure everyone would enjoy a thread on String Theory :D

neeeeeeeeeeerds Laughing out loud

Yeah it would tie in nicely

How long would it be?

I love the old superstrings so much, it was the basis behind one of my novels.

Gary Numan named an album, Strange Charm after reading an article on sub-atomic particles.

Sub-atomic particles are so small that I often stand besides them when I'm in the nuddy, if you know what I mean? >_< :$

All true.

nice one marty :)

Thanks fellow critiquers, much appreciated.

However all this talk on quantum physics, quarks, time travel, string theory etc.

maybe I should of wrote

GARY AND IAN
Shiiiiiiiiit!!!
