I know I'm an absolute f**kwit when it comes to computery things, but I'm pretty sure this isn't down to me...
When I click on 'older messages' in my inbox, it flickers for ages and I have to grab a moment after a couple of attempts to look at the message I wanted to look at, it didnae do it before, how can I make it not do that?
Unless I've misunderstood your description, it sounds like it's down to your browser, struggling to render a long list of older messages. Only solution at present is to delete some of them.

I can't do that, it's a delicate ecosystem! It's bad enough trying to find summit from a year ago without losing the pm equivalent of an interestingly shaped tree. I shall continue playing catch-the-moment-of-flicker-when-reading-is-possible. Unless I can get a better browser? Is that a thing?
What browser are you using?

You can. I use and recommend Maxthon, and also have a fondness for Chrome.
Sorry for being a pedant, but shouldn't forums be called fora?
Both are grammatically correct, but the Anglicised 'forums' is preferred (and, crucially, understood) over the pure Latin of 'fora'. Or even 'fori'.
Yeah, OK. I'll let it drop.
How about having the schedule 'snap' to the current time, so you don't have to scroll down through the whole day when, say, looking for something at 11pm?
You lazy bugger.
Is it just me or are the boards going slowly the past few days? It keeps going down for minutes at a time as well.
