Prometheus maybe the most pointlessly depressing film ever.

So many absolutely revolting, body horror sights with no tension.

More like Saw than anything else. David was good otherwise just utter crap.

My expectations for it have been lowered to such a degree now that I think I can't help but enjoy it.

One of my friends liked it, the other didn't. I'm somewhere in the middle.

S. Darko, the sequel to Donnie Darko. Oh dear.

Well ok it looks great and David is fantastic (I did amuse myself by imagining him speaking in Bussell's voice)

and some of the CGI fx are actually quite beautiful.

Just you know don't sweat the actual story.

Let's face it, the odds were always against Prometheus being brilliant. We get about one good sci-fi film a decade set in space or on another planet. The last good one was Star Trek, and before that you probably have to go back to Pitch Black.

Spacey-wacey sci-fi in films and TV always seems to come runner-up to sci-fi set on earth.

Has anyone seen Rock of Ages yet?
It looks a bit corny but I still want to see it for some reason.

Ha, me too. Tom Cruise is great in films, however mental he is out of them.

Errr

(Not about Tom Cruise)

think I mostly want to see it because Russell Brand is in it. I haven't seen to many films with Tom Cruise in. He generally doesn't make the kind of films I like to watch.

Aw, his '80s ones are the best.

I liked it when he had mad wonky teeth.

Ah, I didn't realise it was some kind of musical. I've gone off it now.

The Muppet Movie.
It was brilliant.

High Lane. French rock-climbing slashyer movie. We've seen it all before a thousand times but it was pretty well done. Only let down was the slightly unconvincing inbred psychopath.
