Yes, for a small place, we do have a vast range. I expect it'll change due to the motor car and so many of us moving around alot, I think there's already evidence that many people's accents are flattening out, which is a shame. 
I take it yours is a slow Texan drawl, Dabby? Like John Wayne's. I see you as a John Wayne figure, although he probably didn't have as many guns as you.

I don't really have one. I've lived all over the country and so have my parents, so we're pretty much accent-free. My younger brother is married to a woman with a strong southern accent and has lived in North Carolina for 20 years; he's picked up a very slight accent.
