I Only Just Realised... Page 2

Had a friend (quite a big-wig commercials producer and a bit of a 'luvvy') who for years thought . when being offered a cappuccino - he was being offered a "cup of Chino".
One day he blew it by saying,"Sod it, I'll have a mug, if that's OK"

And then of course, there's 'meringue'.

And "Hermione" in Harry Potter until I was about 10 and someone told me.

I still pronounce that as Hermy-o-knee.

We used to say Her-mee-own.

And me !

But I'm old . .

It is a bloody silly name, to be fair.

A man walks into a glasgow patisserie and says 'is that a cake or a meringue' and the shop assistant says 'no you're right it's a cake'.

:D Obviously, >_<, but :D

There is a famous Australian song to which the lyric goes "The last plane out of Sydney's almost gone". Many people including myself have misheard as the last train.

Bread? 80's scouse sitcom?

This very morning I realised the theme tune isn't "bla bla blaa bla home, with the bread, la laalala laa with the bread"

It's actually " bla bla blaa bla br-br-bread, la la lala la la br-br-bread"

life will never be the same again

Bread?

70's superband? 'Baby I'm a want you, baby I'm a need you'...was listening to them the other day, love their stuff...I only just realised that they didn't do that other song 'Toast', they should have though as then it would have made sense ;)

White Maltesers???

Why did nobody tell me
