:D Jokes in sarcastic mode are allowed? it was ages ago and I've been a good girl since! okay dokey

Jokes are fine! But not sure it sounds like a joke when you keep saying it as though it's true.
Anyway, onwards and upwards. ;)

Did there used to be a thread for flogging stuff? I can't find it, but then again I haven't actually tried. Anyway, me and the man are selling vintage Star Wars figures. Here's the link to our Ebay but we've only got a handful of lots on there:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/schwen1985/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p3686

If anyone is after any figures that aren't on there (most aren't) then give me shout- might be able to do an outsideofebay deal. Or something of the like.

Wow, that's quite a photograph.

Makes me want to watch the opening scenes of Saving Private Ryan again . . .

It's remarkable what some people did all those years ago.

They were so brave, lived so intensley. To think of making such a sacrifice for freedom and goodness. It still leaves me humbled.

F***ing hell.. is that the Coronation flotilla?

This would be worrying, if you mean it.

Usually I'd try to think of something witty to say, but Stylee I'll settle for

OFO

Hmmm..

You're moving towards the slightly objectionable . . . .

It's all relative old feller.. there there..

Or The Nat Returns, if you're feeling a bit more Ghibli.

I'm not getting nearly enough attention here. Haven't the prophets been fortelling my return for eons?

Hi Nat, good to have you back.

Astounding photograph.
And to think these days footballers are heroes.

Well worth a bump.

Is that a real wartime picture or a later Hollywood re-enactment.

The caption from Wikipedia:

A LCVP (Landing Craft, Vehicle, Personnel) from the U.S. Coast Guard-manned USS Samuel Chase disembarks troops of Company E, 16th Infantry, 1st Infantry Division (The Big Red One) wading onto the Fox Green section of Omaha Beach on the morning of June 6, 1944. American soldiers encountered the newly formed German 352nd Division when landing. During the initial landing two-thirds of the Company E became casualties.
