So did the bow design already exist, or did the tattooist draw a picture first for you to approve the design?

Ooh, that looks lovely, SF. I really like the shade of blue.

He drew it for me speshul.

Taaa. Everyone loves the blue - and that's really great because the blue is very important.

And I did want that originally, but he said the ribbon would have to be quite thick, so I am thinking on it.
Yeah, it would have to match the thickness of the bow ribbon to look right to the eye. How about a lacy/frilly string effect? So the line around your ankle looks less bold and is broken up by the loose lacing?

D'aw.
I think (and this is a compliment by the way) that you have the tattoos that Snow White might have.
Well the bow bits are actually thicker than the ends anyway, but I thought about having it like a garter almost, but we'll see. I actually quite like not being able to see it from the front for some reason.

This is my favourite thing ever. A customer at work once told me I looked like I should be Snow White at Disneyland because I had a bow in short dark curly hair.
Quote: Scatterbrained Floozy @ June 5 2012, 8:38 PM BSTI really like nose piercings, but the idea of a needle that close to your eyes...
Had one years ago, didn't hurt at all. Had a lip piercing too but got fed with losing the ball so bought new jewellery as thought maybe the thread was old. Ended up swallowing it, couldn't be arsed anymore.
You can have it numbed, I did and closed my eyes.
I have mostly old school type ones but some realism too. I have a heart lock and key in my chest (yes, I know), swallows and a heart/banner on my lower stomach, a hula girl, a rose and a gentleman fox on one leg, some dogwood flowers and leopard print on the other. I also have a sugar lump and a chili pepper on an inner arm and an anchor going through a heart on an inner wrist, art brut style (hand tattooed, I forget the term for it).
I also have a couple of bad jobs that need covering up but I'm ok with that.
What you say about the red is exactly my problem, so I make sure I tell the artist in advance (I think it's Starbright that's too strong). I need my chest touched up again (fnar).

Hehe! Then it is official!

I'm worried because, as always, I've heard horror stories.
I really like swallows. I wish it wasn't tacky, but I would have a swallow coloured like a robin (Robin/Robyn haha) on my hip if I wasn't worried about a) the potential tackiness and b)Baby-bearing warping it one day.
Did the hand-tattooed one hurt?
Looking good, Scats.
You could save that one until after the babies have been popped out.

Yes, was thinking about a garter typa thing.
Very cool. I may show these to Lady Lee

Taaa. Seems like it was worth the horrifically itchy healing then!

Maybe.

I really hate my thighs or I'd have had one of these.

Me like.

We'll be the judge of that too!
