The Diamond Jubilee

Come on give it a thread.

We can't all be English/British haters
or anti Monarchists.

Although there may be a few.

I don't mind it, it's all a bit naff but sweet. Although the boats going up the river stuff got quite tired pretty fast.

To the guillotine! Actually I haven't watched any of the shit, so no comment.

Even the Queen looked bored.

She must think we rall eally hate her what with the endless boat trip and Gary Barlow's song.

She must think we really hate her

Don't tempt me!

I quite liked it! Would have been better if it wasn't so misty and rainy, but I suppose it added to the Englishness.
I liked the philharmonic orchestra boat at the end, especially when they did the sea shanty and the Royals all bobbed up and down. They bloody loved that.

Weather here is fine so obviously the gods are pissing on the royal parade.

I've still got a Mug from the Silver Jubilee in 1977.
When I must have been aged minus 5 or something

I hope she doesn't play golf today

Because she'd be a

DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH!!!!!!!

Nothing against the Queen but I think we'd have been better off just clubbing together for a card and left it at that.

Gotta feel sorry for her though.
'Hey, we're thinking of throwing you a big bash for your 60th'
'You know what, I just fancy a quiet one'
'No, don't be silly, it'll be great'

The coverage on the rolling non-news channels though makes me want to hurt people.

I enjoyed Eamonn Holmes.
