I'm not convinced of his guilt. I believe there's a lot we don't know, and if somebody like Jim Swires believes in Megrahi, I think there should be a lot more investigation ... a retrial might have been good but obviously that won't happen now.

The rumour was always that it was Syria who carried out Lockerbie.
But the forensic evidence, at least that which was released and verified by some very reliable sources is most compelling.
I think there's really minimal doubt it was Megrahi, question is who ordererd him and who ordered them.

I read an assessment of the evidence by Jonathon Freedland et al.
It's pretty convincing.
And Gadaffi gave him up because sanctions were killing his country stone dead.
