Draw something.

Having fun with that at the moment

I'm on that but I have a ridiculous amount of people on it now. Can't keep up!

I'm now in the Android club, I've grabbed one of these babies.

After an early play I'm left slightly underwhelmed, as the selection of available apps (slideme) are quite disappointing compared to IOS. (I can't access the the Official Google PlayStore as my device is incompatible)

Does anyone know of any workarounds to get a better selection of apps?

It can eaither be quite simple or rather complicated. If a device has big user support, someone usually builds a hack/way round it. Or the company offers a way to upgrade to full Market Access. Another way is to install a Custom Rom, but again, it depends on how big the userbase is. It has to have enough fans for someone to bother building their own version of Android OS.

An easier solution is to Google the app you're looking for with .apk added onto the end, for example: AngryBirds.apk It's hit and miss whether or not your device will be supports but worth a go anyway.

Cheers Lee, I appreciate the advice.

I just bought one of these: http://www.tesco.com/direct/sim-free-neon-android-black-chrome/213-8687.prd

Does anyone have the Galaxy Note? I quite fancy one, but was wondering how you accommodate the massive size of the thing.

Is that the one that comes with a stylus? It reminds of the old palm pilots. I think it's strange how phones have started getting larger again. At least they tend to be lighter these days.

It comes with it's own aircraft hanger.

Don't think it'd fit in my flat then.
I was watching Black Books the other day, Fran was trying to tell Bernard how fancy her phone was because it could take a photo and had web acsess. One of the few references that dates the show.

I fancy one too, though I suspect the Note 2 will have better specs (based on the new SIII) so will wait for that I think.

When we looked at it in Carphone Warehouse, you can see it's pretty big, you need deep pockets (literally) to fit it in. My wife can't hold it in one hand and, though I could, I don't think I could do a 'thumb-swipe' one-handed.

Still, will more than likely get it when Note 2 is out.

And by then they will be working on the Note 3 or one that has a etch-a-sketch built in or something fancy.

Still waiting for one that makes my coffee.

I've got a new android phone, could someone sum up the best apps of the last 9 pages (as I can't be arsed to read it all)?

Thanks.
