Cheap knock off copies

There are like 101 copies of HIGNFY formula now... Most of which are crap.

I was getting tired of it but this current series has been good. First couple of shows were awesome. I hope they keep this up.

I don't half wish they would bring back Deayton.

It's like Buzzcocks; with Mark Lamarr it was, well, pure class. He loves music and reggae. And that was great.

I think they forget that the hosts are meant to be funny, you end up getting a tool reading the autocue like a broken monkey.

They Think It's All Over ran for about 5 series too long.

I don't think the new Room 101 is any better with that annoying brummie bloke. I preferred Nick Han(on)cock.

What do you mean by "formula"?

Panel show with famous people?

Love the way you say "music and reggae" as if reggae isn't music.

I did love his late night Radio 2 show but that's finished now too.

I say Reggae and Music because Reggae is quite a specialist subject and I too am a lover of Reggae so have distinguished the two.

My point was, because he thought on his feet and was spontaneous it was a lot better AD in HIGNFY was the same, now its every word seems scripted it seems to have lost something.

How do you define "music" then? What about Punk, Heavy Metal, Prog, Classical, Opera - or Rockabilly which was a great Lamar favourite.

You're missing my point. Most people like music in a general sense. I love all music but like Mark my Reggae collection is huge. He loved Rap, Metal all sorts just like me. But sometimes, having collected and really been into it for 2 decades he would come out with a joke that was a nod to something obscure I knew of in Reggae and I would go, now he knows his Reggae.

Only one form of Music isn't music, Country & Western. Sick

I think that panel shows need a regular host, and that should be a someone funny who is genuinely interested in the subject of the show. I hate this floating host thing, there is never any rapport with the team captains anymore.

Drugs and alcohol.

Country & Western is great when it's made by hippies...like The Byrds or The Grateful Dead, or outlaws like Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings in the 60s. Not when it's made by these harcore bigots who claim to have invented it.
