My mate reckons he's seen somewhere that John Ratzenberger has said that the whole cast is up for a new series !
Anyone else heard that?

The cast didn't want it to end in the first place, but Ted Danson decided to walk away, and so that was that: show over.
If he's had a change of heart, I'm sure the network would love to bring it back. Personally, I don't think it'll happen, but he is making another Three Men and a Baby film - so anything is possible...
Whenever I think of Cheers I think of David Angell, who was killed so tragically during the 9/11 nightmare.

Was he an eco warrior?
Ratzenburger was on Jonathan Ross last week. He may have mentioned it there.
Personally as a fan of the show I don't think I'd want it and I don't think it will happen.
No need for a return. Make something new you bastards!
China-based c**tery removed.
Go c**t yourself, pleasely.
Cheers is starting a rerun on CBS Drama tomorrow at 6 for anyone that's interested.
Interesting as on Introductions I just posted to American about the US humour I love, just mentioned Cheers!
I do try to avoid posting on actual topics just to say something useless, but Cheers induces me to post (went for the heart emoticon, couldn't quite bring myself to do it, so just imagine the immense love)

Only just read rest of thread, are you being sarcy or does anyone actually dispute this? (Much as I love Diane and Coach too)

Are you also being sarcy? You are right, right? Right?

YES!
I just read that they are showing the first two seasons which is a bit of a letdown. I shall have to seek out other watching methods if I like it!

If you access Netflix US through proxy, you can watch every season there without adverts.
If you like 'Cheers', give this a read:

Just heard a trailer tonight which I think said that the entire series is being shown on ITV4 starting next Monday.
