As I was growing up here in the U.S., my mother was rather fond of PBS (Public Broadcasting System) television. And, as PBS was always rather fond of British sitcoms, I grew up with Monty Python, Fawlty Towers, Are You Being Served, Butterflies, etc., etc. I'm still a big BritCom fan and watch both older and newer shows on the same PBS stations I grew up with!
To give an idea of how much a fan I am, my wife and I recently got two kittens and named them Daisy and Onslow from Keeping Up Appearances. Sybille and Basil were also in the running.
I've started re-watching shows I haven't seen in ages on YouTube and am currently going through The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin episodes. Fond memories!
