How To Beat Women

Hi, this is a radio comedy on the hidden and obviously fun packed world that is UK family law. I have had great feedback from people who have had similar experiences but I'm trying to reach out to joe & jane public, so I need to know if this works for you, and if not, what should I do to make it more appealing for a general audience?

Thanks for listening, hope you enjoy:

Hey, I think this is good. I didn't find it laugh out loud funny though, more mildly amusing. Maybe it's more amusing if you've been through that stuff.

I'm not sure if I'd change much of it. I'd just pitch it at R4. Were I a commisioning editor I'd take it, if for nothing more than it'd stir things up a bit and get people talking. From a production level it wouldn't sound out of place at all.

Dunno if any of that helps. I'm by no means an expert on anything.

I suspect there is maybe a bit too much of an agenda for Radio 4 to be comfortable with this. Sitcoms and single cause issues sit uncomfortably together. Did not make it any easier to judge purely as comedy being regaled with statistics in the You Tube visuals. The provocative title does not help much either. Not entirely unsympathetic to the cause of fathers' rights, but drawing up the order of battle along gender lines can be expected to alienate not just a lot of women, but also men who do not perceive the world in that way.

I think this was pretty funny throughout, I never really fully laughed, but I rarly do at radio. I think it reminded me but of a modern Hancock. I can imagine this being on R4 no problem, but maybe have more interaction with his family and children. But its really well written and mostly well peformed, be proud. And me I am also very far from expert.

Thanks guys,

Cheers for the compliments. R4 was in my sights but I agree, Aunty gets a bit squeamish when it comes to sensitive areas so I don't expect we'll end up in bed together.

Sorry if the stats were distracting. Audio only version can be downloaded freely from www.sugmonkooky.com.

Will go back and see what I can do about the belly laughs. Thanks for your help, really appreciate it.

:) Yes, radio4 material, enjoyed it, I agree about the subject needing to be openly discussed.

I have strong views on a personal level, good luck.
