Going to that Landan for the day today to see one of my best friends, she's home from America, first time seeing her in six years!! Cant wait.

Getting ready to cook about 40 pounds of red beans and rice for my neighbor's crawfish boil. It's also a Cinco de Mayo celebration and birthday party for another neighbor (yesterday) and me (Tuesday.) 130 people have RSVP'd, so it should be a hell of a good time.
I'm wearing a gas mask the next time I chop that many onions.

I can't even slice a spring onion without crying (can't remember what they're called in America).

I've just got back from Yorkshire. I decided to visit Holmfirth - where they used to film Last of the Summer Wine. Checked out a few of the tourist spots e.g. Compo's house and the Cafe. Holmfirth isn't as sleepy as the programme made out. It's fairly busy for a small town.

Yes, I did notice that. Not sure how that works as I thought the later series were filmed on location in the cafe. Unless they've moved things round since the series finished...
