Tim Tams are a popular biscuit in Australia. They are like a rectangle chocolate cream biscuit that is covered in Chocolate. Everyone at some point has bitten of either end and sipped their tea or coffee, through the biscuit.

Penguins for Prisoners we call em!

I was introduced to the wonders of the TimTamTea experience by an Aussie friend.
And can vouch for their biscuity goodness.

Are Penguins similar? You can sometimes buy them here in specialty chcoolate shops or in the British section of the supermarket. I'm allergic to them, as I am to proper Tim Tams so not much point in buying them.

Similar but not the same
I'd get stick from my Aussie friend for even comparing the two.

Basically you can't suck Tea through a Penguin.

*waits for quote to be taken out of context.

Hey Steve, what did you discover when you took the A-Team to the zoo?

The Bourbon was my fave back in the day, but I never forget that taste of my first garibaldi.

Chocolate garibaldis were the best. Not seen them in years. :(

The king of the plain biscuit is the Abernethy digestive.

On the cheese biscuit front I am a recent convert to Carr's Cheese Melts.

I've never seen them! They sound a bit wrong, really.

But they also sound very right.
I must try one, now that I know they exist

:D Jammy dodgers, although OH has bought plain digestives (for himself) He also has liquourice for himself.

Love both of those. For a plain biscuit there used to be Lincoln Creams but not seen them for years. Also in Ireland we have the 'Marietta' so plain but a dream dipped in tea, very moreish.

Garibaldi!

Sorry I Panicked

Eating gf Jaffa cakes. One of the last boxes I bought back with me. Might have to make a shopping trip again next year.
