After trying everywhere obvious I started on the least likely and found them in the little drawer of a cabinet I keep my internet banking random code generator thingy in.
Your wife probably found it by the sink a week ago and put it in there herself.

Our elections are always held on Saturdays. I had to vote in local council elections last weekend. Didn't want to since it was pouring with rain, but didn't want to get fined for not voting.
We had state elections earlier in the year so all done now until next years federal election.
