What did Woolworths sell in the UK? Here in Australia they are one of two major supermarket chains.

I thought Borders was called Waterstones at least in England?

I did find it strange going to Woolworths to buy my weekly shop when I lived in Aus.

It used to sell toys, school uniform and picamix.

I imagine that was also to do with the lack of variety compared to somewhere like Tesco or Sainsburys...or any of the supermarkets you have in the UK really.

Even if you had been near a Coles, who are the other major chain here you would have had the same issue.
In the last year both chains have started stocking fresh heat and eat meals like you find in Tesco/sainsburys. You guys are really lucky to have such a veriety of brands in your supermarkets.

I really miss Marks and Spencers food Halls. Especially the dessert section and the pick and mix cheese. Far to much considering I was only there for a month.
