I have just started working on a sitcom idea set in a young offenders institute, think a more current and youthful version of Porridge. Is it a good idea to do something like this or is prison deemed a little too serious these days with the state of affairs in Britain?
Wouldn't have thought so.
There was that one set in a prison visitors room a while back.
I should imagine there's subject matter you might want to steer clear of if you're going for something fairly mainstream....otherwise, can't see any problems.
