As Matt says, no. These figures are collected by independent research companies, whilst stuff like iPlayer and 4oD are of course proprietary, internal tools.
As I understand it, iPlayer's a bit of a dark art, although they collect rough stats of how well shows are doing. In internal reviews and commissioning decisions they'll take those into account, as well as critical response, audience feedback, comments on Twitter, blogs, and forums like this, plus almost certainly stats from Sky and Virgin.

Every now and then it's good to see a programme that's good without the viewing figures.

Big difference between the cost of filming one guy perform his stand-up in a small venue and making a sitcom with some very well known actors/actresses.

Well, to be more accurate, Dan Swimer's said it! Based on what I've seen so far I'd love more, but if they know they couldn't match the quality stopping now would be the right/brave decision.

It's getting bad figures even if it was on BBC3. For BBC2 those figures are pretty shocking. It may be getting good reviews, but plainly, not many people like it/like the idea of it/like the main character/star. It looks like ending up a fairly rare critical success-ratings flop.
I know there'll be fans bemoaning its demise, but come on, something is wrong with it if it can't get more than 700,000 viewers on BBC2! Perhaps BBC2's core viewers aren't right for it. Then should it not have been aired on BBC3, where it might well have got more viewers, or at least enough to be seen as good for BBC3?
My own feelings, I think many people are tiring of the post watershed sitcom and the figures for all of them appear to be sliding down. Why not cut out the smut, tone down the language and put on at a more popular time? Preferably cast all actors who can act, not just accommodate comedians who want their own show but can't act or write good narratives; make the lead characters a bit stronger and stop trying to copy over rated US sitcom models like Seinfield or CYE, make them proudly British again. Please.

Maybe there was something wrong in the way it was promoted? The fools clearly spent way too much time creating a brilliant show and not enough on scheduling.

They seem to know how many people watch it via catch-up and Sky+ etc - it's called the Consolidated Ratings and these are pretty much the only figures that Sky themselves worry about these days. Overnight ratings are increasingly less of an accurate guide.
Mad Men on Sky Atlantic for example increases it's ratings by well over 100% once they add in all the delayed viewings.
And Gervais still claims that Life's Too Short averaged around 2.5m once iPlayer etc was taken into account.
