Very strong week this week with a lot of the legends of the skit comp weighing in with some great sketches (Steve Sunshine, Ishy et al) but my vote goes to gappy. The Sammy Escape-O exchange was excellent.

Great to see the Skit Comp with a full house this week, liked them all, close between Gappy, Otterfox and loved Steve's double denim but going for Gappy.
Full marks to Otterfox. The idea of a director giving instruction to random people is funny to me, especially when married with that traditional Otterfox oddness...close second, but this week Mr. Fox has been eclipsed by Mr. Sunshine.
I always like sketches where statements get more extreme every time - the Four Yorkshiremen technique - and this sliding scale of press silence was a funny take on the idiocy of the super-injunction. Room for I Can't Believe It's Not An Injunction in the rewrite? Anyway, thumbs up.
No idea what Double Denim is, though - a cheap aftershave? Or does it mean jeans and a denim jacket? That should certaionly be against the law...
Toss up between Otterfox, Steve and Gappy, but I'm going for Gappy
Gappy.
Some good stuff this week all round. I liked Tuumble's Asian Queen Tribute act 'Freddy More Curry' but I'll vote for Gappy as well.

That's the one.
I'm Happy to vote Gappy.

Yep, has to be Gappy.
Just in case it's close - I haven't counted, I'm casting my vote for Gappy. Great characterisation.

Yes indeed. Last month I had my first experience of co-writing and co-performing a live skit and we used the '4 Yorkies' as a perfect example of how a sketch can build and build. I've read that a strong idea sustains a gag but not a full skit, which should be plotted like a short story with a beginning - middle - end: escalation not repetition.
Voting Gappy, by the way.
Cheers to those of you who voted for me, I got a warm feeling spreading over me. Although I had just wet myself, which might explain it.
Anyway, as this sketch seemd to be quite popular I wondered if anyone had any comments about the last line. I'm not ecstatic about the ending, I think it's kind of silly, but coudl be better.
The original ending was much neater, but I felt a bit pat. I've pasted it below. If anyone had any thoughts about the ending I'd be quite intrigued to read them.
Cheers
....SAM: Never. I didn't spend all those years memory training - watching The Generation Game week after week - to throw it all away on fripperies. We are a memory act, and that's final!
ALICE: Fine.
SAM: Right. I'm glad that's sorted out. Now, I'm just off to relax.
ALICE: Any plans?
SAM: No. I'll probably saw the wife in half and climb a rope into the sky, same as usual.
