You can become an official Lord or Lady for around £40 - add it to your drivers licence etc. Could be useful for impressing dumb, shallow chicks! My favourite kind!

I looked into this about 7 years ago, and it is a total fiction. Brilliant money-making gimmick for those involved, but there's not a shred of weight behind it.

I know a man who went for a peerage near the ladies loos, a wee while later, an enraged boyfriend wanted to knight him with a cheese knife.
Isn't it some kind of ruse where you are paying for the deed poll to change your Christian name to "Lord" or "Lady"?
It's a bit like teling your girlfriend you've bought her a personalised numberplate for her birthday, when what you've actually done is changed her name by deed poll to FY09 DNW.

All you need is to find a 'chick' with the same tastes as you 'dumb and shallow'... and you'll get on fine.
