Promoting a podcast

Hi everyone,

I have a new comedy sketch show podcast out and I was wondering if anybody had any ideas about how to actually promote these things? I'm not really sure where to start.

I'm confident it's good enough to succeed, and we've had very good feedback from everyone who's listened so far, but I really don't know how to get it out there to the masses, and so take it to the next level. All suggestions would be welcome!

For reference, it's called The Chop House, and we currently have it available on iTunes (http://tinyurl.com/TCHiTunes) and YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/user/ChopHouseComedy1)

Can't really recommend anything beyond the usual forums and social networking routes. If it's as good as you say it is it should find an audience.

Thanks for the reply David! I have Facebook and Twitter covered already, but I'm kind of hoping there's some secret outlet I don't know about that experienced podcasters/marketing types can recommend.
